Clean and Simple

When making cards we often refer to a particular style of  card as a "cas" card also known as clean and simple. We could also call it a minimalist card.  Just a very simple card.  I created a cas card and duplicated it with a different pattern of paper.  Check out the two cards I created.

Graduation Season

 May brings with it High School and College graduations.  I created this card to celebrate those I know who are graduating.  

I loved using all of the Fun Stampers Journey products, especially the die cut for the graduation cap.The back ground paper was created with FSJ embossing powders.

Cup Of Happiness

There are few things I enjoy more than a good cup of tea.  Family and friends affectionately refer to me as a tea snob!  I love starting my day with a pot of my favorite Royal English Breakfast tea and thru out the day I will enjoy numerous cups of Earl Gray.  Fixing a cup of tea forces me to slow down and enjoy the moment.  I wait patiently while the water boils, then add the boiling water to the cup or tea pot and wait for it to steep to pure perfection. The tea is then poured into the cup and  milk and sugar are added and a biscuit often included.  The world stops for a few minutes while I enjoy that cuppa and biscuit.   

When this stamp set and paper came out it was a must have!  I have loved working with it and creating with it.  It also works great for coffee lovers.  In fact it was really created as a coffee stamp set but I could not resist turning it into a tea cup.

Monthly Card Club

Each month I host a monthly card gathering at my home.  I provide all the cut pieces to assemble ten cards for $15.00.  You bring your tape and other basic supplies and create the cards and  do all of the stamping, embossing etc... that is needed to complete the cards.  If you cant make the class but love the cards a kit can be provided and you can assemble the cards at home.

May's cards are inspired by all of the spring flowers in full bloom.  A single stamp Lovely Day (AT-0188) was used in two different ways creating two different cards.  The flowers on the cards can be colored in with a variety of mediums including Journey Color Splash Watercolor pencils or Journey Color Burst Pure Color Pencils, gel pens, makers and pan pastels.

This Hello card was created using Cool Pool card stock as the base with a background paper from our Designers Choice Prints and Whip Cream card stock.  The flowers were colored in using pan pastels.  The hello has been off set with Bubble Gum card stock and Pool Play Sparkle Tape.  The finishing touch is a dab/flicker of Bubble Gum and Cool Pool Sparkle.

This second card features Pretty Amethyst card stock for the base with a layer of Pineapple Smoothie card Stock and patterned paper from our Designers Choice  Prints.  The card also features Whip Cream card stock and is finished off with our Gingham Pineapple Smoothie ribbon.  This card was colored with our Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils
